Tom Petty at The American Music Festival & Martyrs It's coming up to one of our favorite annual events - the FitzGerald's American Music Festival.
This year we go straight to the heart of great American music of the modern era - Tom Petty! Twangy guitars over rich organ beds, driven by rock solid bass and drums are the sound that catapulted Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers into the spotlight, but it was the evocative lyrics and strong melodies that kept them there. And as Tom moved into his own spotlight, his legend grew, and he took his place among the greats. We will present hits and deep cuts that span his amazing career in loving tribute to a legend who is still building his legacy today. We will take the stage in the big tent at the festival at around 9pm on Saturday July 6th, but there is great music all day, and indeed all weekend long - you can come on the day of and buy your ticket at the door, or buy a 4-day pass and see all the music you can handle. We know that that weekend can be a traveling weekend for may of our fans, and so we will also do a show at Martyrs' on Wednesday July 10 so you can catch one of our all time favorites!
