ENCORE: PEACEFUL, EASY FEELING (The Eagles)

It’s one of our favorite gigs of the year.
The American Music Festival at Fitzgeralds is king.  With the big tent outside, 39 bands in 3 days, and slammin’ Wishbone Barbecue, we come early and leave late.  Well this year, we’re leaving really late, helping to close the final day, Tuesday July 3rd, by reprising a set as The Band.

The awesome confluence of rock, soul, country, and folk that those men invented begat a pile of perfect songs, and we throw in a few more to the set we did a couple years ago.  We’re preceded in the tent by Willy Porter, and by the great Robbie Fulks, who will join us on a few tunes as well.   Methinks you should come.

Tributosaurus becomes THE BAND.
Tuesday, July 3rd, 10:15 PM
Fitzgerald’s, 6615 Roosevelt Rd., Berwyn, IL
$25 (for the whole day, 3 stages, 12 bands)
At the door only.

Matt Spiegel – vox, big Dennis DeYoung fan

Jonathan Paul – bass, one of the men and their music

This month's guests:

Robbie Fulks – gtr, vox

A couple other things to tell you about:

What was before Tributosaurus?  Nothing, of course.  But actually, Matt’s band Brother Brother was once regionally marginally successful and put out a coupla pretty fair funk records.  Come see Brother Brother at Martyrs on Wednesday July 11th, featuring almost all of the original members, including the first Tributosaurus bass player, Brian Maurer.
