As many of you know, February's totally uncalled for snowmageddon caused us to cancel the Kool & the Gang show, which many of you had bought tickets for and were all ready to brave the elements to be there, we're sure. Well, we're not about to let a completely funky, not to mention fully rehearsed, show languish in obscurity - so it's ON, baby!
From their early old-school funk roots through to their mega-hit pop stardom, Kool & the Gang produced some of the best dance and funk music you've ever heard - and you've heard a lot of it! Early hits like "Jungle Boogie" eventually gave way to smoother sounds like "Joanna", but through it all, their music made you want to move, and it will again at Martyrs' on Wednesday, May 4th.
It has been a brutal spring, but the weather is finally breaking, and it's time to get out and shake your thing to celebrate the spring, so join us for a killer night of soul and funk. We'll be joined by the Paleolithic horns, as well as Marqueal Jordan, Devin Thompson, Gerald McClendon, and a host of other guests to bring the groove to Martyrs' - don't miss it!

The One hit Wonders of the 80s shows earler this month were so much fun that we decided to do it again at the Park West later this month. They're selling fast, and will be gone soon, so if you did not get a chance to see the shows last month, come and see it happen 5/20!
