What is Tributosaurus X?
This August, we start our tenth year. There has been a lot of unbelievable music in that time, and certain shows stand out as truly unique and special - the shows that only Tributosaurus can pull off. We love these concerts, and we know a lot of you have missed some of them, so it's time to celebrate our first decade.

Starting in August 2011, we are going to reprise 12 of our best and biggest from the past. Not only that, but we are pre-announcing the entire year, and making the tickets to our popular 7pm show available for the whole thing as a subscription package! This will include all 10 Martyrs‘ shows, and 2 special events at the Vic Theater.

The Subscriptions are now done being sold, and there will still be some tickets for the 7pm shows that will go on sale in the month before the concerts occur, as well as the 10pm, or in some cases the 2nd night, shows for all the dates - get yours fast - because these shows will not last!

THE SHOWS :
Aug 3 - Springsteen
Sep 7 - Elton John
Oct 8 (Sat) - *Queen
Nov 2 - Pink Floyd
Dec 7 - Journey
Dec 30 (New Year's Eve Eve) - Prince
Feb 1 - Stevie Wonder
Mar 7 - Yes
Apr 4 - Billy Joel
May 12 (Sat) - *Michael Jackson
Jun 6 - Genesis/Gabriel
Jul 11 - Steely Dan

* = Vic Theater Show

Pretty awesome, right?
We know there are some shows that clearly would qualify to be on this list that did not make it, and we still want to try and get them in as well - Ten Year Anniversaries are rare in the music biz, after all - so keep your eyes on the site, and we'll be announcing additional shows as they become available. They won't be a part of the package, but worthy additions to it.

For instance, here's a few:

CSNY at The Beverly Arts Center - August 19th
The Who at the Skokie Backlot Bash, Friday August 26th 2011. Free.
Tom Petty at the Schaumburg Prairie Arts Center - October 21
The Rolling Stones w/Bobby Keys - Beverly Arts Center - 11/11/11
Tom Petty at Fitzgerald's - the night before Thanksgiving 2011
Johnny Cash at the Beverly Arts Center - 1/28/12
Santana - Fitzgerald's - 5/5/12

TRIBUTOSAURUS X FAQ :

Are these reprises of the original sets, or new material?

These are, for the most part, reprises of the original shows we did. There are a couple that there were more than one volume of, and we will combine those sets and pick from that pool, and there are a couple early shows that we may add a couple tunes to in order to make them longer, but mostly it'll be the same sets.

What about the Beatles project? Is that still happening?

YES! The Beatles project will be stretched a little during the next year, but we are continuing on. The December show will be pushed into the early part of 2012, and the June 2012 show will be in August of 2012 instead.

I looked at your list and noticed that is not there - what's up with that?

As mentioned above, we know there are bands that we have done that fit the criteria of this celebration, but since there are only 12 months, we had to settle on 12 bands. However, we are trying to find a home and date that works for several of the others conspicuously missing from the list, and when we find those dates, we will add extra shows during the year to do those bands too.

I still cant get over how awesome that journey show was. Frisbee is a true talent but the other lead singers did great as well. Have you guys ever considered doing a styx show??

Please sign our guestbook below - it's good to know who our fans are, and we want to hear something about you.

If you have a band request, you should put it in the forums above in the "Who Should We Be?" category - that's what it's for, and when we look for what people are asking for, that's where we'll look!  Simply "Add a Topic" in that board, and title it the name of the band you want - you can put why in the body if you like, and then people can second you on your topic.

    • Great time at One-Hit Wonders! I would love to see you guys become John Hiatt. He has a great volume of music. Come on, give it a shot.

    • i'm OLD like over 50 and you guys make me feel young and happy. I LOVE your music and the way you deliver it! I am SO proud you are CHICAGO and you make me want to go to all your future shows! THANK YOU for being so talented and making your talents available. YOU ROCK! PS I sport your T shirts and they are super well made and properly fit. Great job in choosing a quality product because now I want more in the rest of the color choices!

    • Wouldn't it be cool to see these guys down in Jamaica at an all inclusive resort do 6 or 8 artist. Check out the message boards to weigh in on this idea!

    • Wow! What a gas! One Hit Wonders, amazing show, great venue, The Copernicus. Keep the Hits acomin"!

    • Took the wife to see one hit wonders of the 70s' Wow you guys were great!! First time i seen you guys IT definitely wont be the last. Thank You Guys& ladies for a TERRIFIC SHOW

    • 70's One Hit Wonders!!!!! I had SO MUCH FUN! You guys are amazing! Where can I find your upcoming schedule?

    • got my tics at 410am this morning sweet

    • My husband got tix to this evening's "One Hit Wonders of the 70s" as a 46th birthday gift to me and we loved it!! We were amazed at how many songs you sang, how many musicians and singers were on stage, your fabulous arrangements and how much fun you -- and the audience were having. Our only suggestion -- the final song (I.e., the "encore") was weak, after so many "blow the roof off the joint" performances in both sets. Thanks to all, so much, for fabulous night out!! We'll see you again soon!!

    • Do you know what is happening in April? We will be visiting the Chicago area then and I would love to check you guys out. I used to see Matt play in the Otters way back when...

---Our official April date is now set - it will be April 17th, and it will be Cheap Trick!

    • What an incredible set of shows Fri night (Da Band) and Sat (Da Beatles). My family loved the show Sat,just wish was a bit longer.Come to think of it, very lucky that many young kids didn't go into widespread pandemonium. Can't wait for "One Hit Wonders"!
